Most of the nerves around a headshot session come from not knowing what actually happens. Here's the real sequence, start to finish.
You get an email straight after booking with your time, your studio's address and access instructions, and a short prep guide — what to wear, what to bring. Nothing to do yet except read it.
Turn up at the studio a few minutes early. It's a real hired studio, not a corner of an office — proper lighting already set up. We talk for a minute about what the photos are for before a single frame is shot.
This is most of the session. I direct you the whole way through — angle, expression, where to look — so you don't need any posing experience. We shoot headshots, portraits, or a mix, and change outfits if your package includes it (1 change on Basic, up to 4 changes on Premium).
Once we've covered every look and both US and UK style headshots, we call it. Sessions run to length — 1 hour on Basic, 2 hours on Premium — but we don't drag it out once we've got what we need.
Your retouched images land by email in 3–5 working days (10 on Basic, 20 on Premium), licensed for your professional and commercial use. A 24-hour turnaround is available as an add-on if you need them faster.

You don't need to perform confidence you don't feel. Nearly everyone is a little stiff for the first few minutes — that's normal, and it's part of my job to work through it with you, not around it. By the middle of the session most people have relaxed into it.
